The Chief Executive of Clare County Council is cautioning considerable work has to be completed before a contract can be signed transferring the management of Shannon Heritage sites to the local authority.
Pat Dowling has confirmed that a meeting is due to take place with Shannon Group next week to discuss the detail of the process going forward.
Mr. Dowling will appoint an officer to oversee the due diligence of the transfer which will include finances, operational matters, employee structure, and a legal review.
Pat Dowling says a realistic timeline would see the transfer happen early in 2022.
