Clare County Council is calling for the creation of an ‘economic corridor’ in the West, to attract UK businesses to Atlantic shores following Brexit.
Newmarket on Fergus Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat McMahon wants the IDA and Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, to promote Shannon, Limerick and Galway as a site for investment.
The IDA recently reported that over 100 UK based companies have made enquiries about relocating their business to Ireland.
