Council asked to consider new scheme to attract visitors to Clare

Clare’s main towns could benefit from enhanced night life and an increase in visitors under a scheme operating throughout many British urban areas.

Clare County Council has been asked to consider what’s known as " Purple Flag Status" for towns like Ennis, Shannon or Kilrush to improve the image of the town centres, and entice more visitors and rejuvenate local businesses and amenties.
