Clare County Council’s being asked to ‘plan ahead’ with ongoing maintenance of its housing stock.
This week’s full meeting of elected representatives has heard how the local authority is averaging 5,000 calls relating to maintenance issues each year.

Only three million euro out of a ten million loan acquired by the Council to assist with works has yet to be drawn down.
Shannon-based Independent Councillor Gerry Flynn says older stock in particular will need attention in the coming years.
