It’s believed the decision to cancel the Doolin Folk Festival for a second year in a row could cost the North Clare economy around 1.5 million euro.

Organisers have confirmed the move on social media, citing a lack of a road map being provided for the live events sector by Government as the reason behind the move.

The Festival had initially been earmarked for June and was pushed back to September but has now been shelved until 2022.
