“Strong, Quick Action” Can Be Expected From Today’s Dáil Sitting – Wynne

Clare’s Sinn Féin TD says we can expect “strong, very quick” emergency legislation to emerge from today’s Dáil sitting in terms, amid the coronavirus outbreak.

It follows the announcement last evening that the five major banks will suspend mortgage and business loan repayments for customers affected by COVID-19 for three months.

Today’s Dáil meeting will see TDs debate drastic new legislation that includes the power to detain people diagnosed with Coronavirus who refuse to self-isolate.
