Planned COVID-19 Committee Hearings Cancelled

A number of hearings that were due to take place with the government’s COVID-19 response committee today have been cancelled.

Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly, Acting Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn, and representatives from the HSE and NPHET were among those due to speak but have cancelled for different reasons.

Committee Chairman Michael McNamara says he understands that they are exceptionally busy but that he hopes the meeting will go ahead soon.

The Scariff Independent TD says it’s important that these hearings take place.
