The Mayor of Clare is offering to write a personal card or letter to anyone in this county who is feeling alone as a result of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.
Councillor Mary Howard has offered the handwritten gesture to those who have been cocooning for long periods or are in need of a morale boost ahead of Christmas.
There has been concern that many elderly people in particular across Clare and elsewhere have been struggling with loneliness since the onset of the pandemic.
