The Mayor of Clare has described the increase in cases in COVID-19 in this county over the last number of days as ‘frightening’.

Health officials have issued warnings about the high number of cases here over the weekend, with 34 new cases confirmed across Saturday and Sunday.

It’s also understood further high case totals in this county are expected over the coming days, with only a handful of counties having a higher incidence rate per 100,000 than Clare.
