HSE Confirms Three New Covid Cases In Clare Were Diagnosed In Past Week

The HSE has confirmed that the three cases of COVID-19 recorded in Clare last night are new cases.

A case announced in Clare two weeks ago was later confirmed as an earlier diagnosis, that was re-classified to Clare, after a process of data validation.

This means Clare had actually gone five weeks without a fresh diagnosis.

The HSE says, however, that while it can’t comment on individual cases, it can confirm that the three cases announced by NPHET last night are new cases, diagnosed within the past week.

It brings the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Clare to 372.
