A cross-community initiative in Killaloe-Ballina is being rolled out to ensure that the most vulnerable in society aren’t left wanting.
The GAA clubs on both sides of the bridge are coordinating efforts and have linked in with local GPs, chemists, the parish priest, the Family Resource Centre and the Gardaí.
They’re collecting prescriptions, groceries and delivering supplies for those who are unable to, and this is the latest in a long line of community initiatives springing up around the county.
