Clare VFI Chair Says Some Pubs In Danger Of Becoming Unviable Without Further State Supports

The Clare Chair of the VFI says some pubs in this county are in danger of becoming unviable unless further supports are provided by the Government.

Ministers met last night to consider retaining certain COVID supports for businesses in the hospitality sector, including the wage subsidy scheme, though the meeting ended without any decisions being made.

Pubs and restaurants in Clare are reporting that a large number of pre-Christmas bookings are being cancelled as a result of Government advice for people to reduce their social contacts.
