Clare VFI Chair Says ‘New Thinking’ Required If Outdoor Pub Service Becomes The Norm

The Chair of Clare VFI says ‘new thinking’ will be required from government if outdoor pub service becomes the norm in the long term.

Outdoor service in all restuarants and pubs will be permitted to resume from June 7th, with indoor dining set to be examined further later in the summer.

It’s estimated only around 20 percent of businesses are in a position to offer outdoor service at present, though a multi million euro fund for businesses to avail of supports for outdoor dining measures was announced last month.
