Clare TUI Chair Says Teachers More Prepared For Closures Now Than In March

The Chair of the Clare branch of the TUI believes secondary teachers here are more prepared for closure now than before the onset of the pandemic.

Government ministers will sign-off on closing schools until the end of the month later today, but schools for children with special needs are likely to remain open, while creches will be allowed to provide childcare for essential workers.

The Government says it understands the impact that leaving schools closed will have on the health and wellbeing of children.
