Clare TD Calls For Shannon To Form Part Of Any Efforts To Salvage Tourism Year

Clare’s Independent TD is calling for increased use of Shannon Airport to form part of any efforts to salvage this year’s tourism season.

While COVID-19 has all but shut down air travel to and from Ireland, hope has been expressed that by the end of the year, there will be scope to reopen the country to overseas visitors.

Counties like Clare, which rely heavily on the tourism sector, have been inordinately hit by this aspect of the economic downturn.
