Clare Govt TD Isn’t Ruling Out Reintroduction Of Pandemic Supports Amid New Restrictions

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD says the government needs to be reactionary when it comes to providing financial support to the sectors impacted by the latest suite of restrictions.

Cabinet yesterday approved a new curfew on the hospitality sector, with pubs, restaurants and nightclubs having to close at midnight from Thursday.

The decision has been met with calls for financial aid for the impacted sectors, however the Taoiseach has ruled out the reintroduction of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment, or a delay to cutting the support.
