Clare-based Former INTO President Insists Urgent Rollout Of Antigen Testing Vital

A Clare-based former President of the INTO insists it’s vital that antigen testing is rolled out in schools without delay.

The Chief Medical Officer has warned more than 200,000 people across the country could be infected with the virus by Christmas if action isn’t taken, while the Taoiseach has told his parliamentary party that the coming weeks will be uncertain and challenging.

Representatives from the INTO are due to meet with officials from the Department of Education, where the teachers union sought clarity on the plan for antigen testing for primary school children and the 5 day restriction on movements for households.
