Calls to Utilise Market Building For Seating Area

Calls have been made for the Market Building in Ennis to be used as a spacious seating area for customers to eat takeaway food from nearby shops and restaurants.

The building was the centrepiece of a €1.75 million revamp of the area, and was designed to house a local market, but has more frequently used as a car park.

The idea to convert it into a socially distant eating space is being considered but must first be brought to the attention of the stakeholder’s group responsible for pedestrianising the town centre.
