Call For Additional Supports For Mental Health Of Asylum Seekers During COVID-19

The Clare Immigrant Support Centre is calling for additional resources to be put in place to support the mental health of asylum seekers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many are living in direct provision, including those in centres here in Clare, and are awaiting the processing of their applications.

But a lot of them have family members still living in large camps in the countries they fled from and are unable to contact them, while hearing news filter through about the spread of the virus to all corners of the world.
