0% Vat Rate For Hospitality Sector Only Part Of The Solution

A zero per cent VAT rate for the hospitality sector has been ruled out by the Taoiseach.

Yesterday Junior Minister Brendan Griffin urged the Government to consider dropping the tax temporarily, as part of a rescue package for the sector.

Leo Varadkar has today said it would go against EU rules, but has suggested the rate could be lowered by the next government.
