A new World champion will be crowned in Corofin today as the North clare village hosts the 13th World Stone Throwing championships.

The event,which forms part of the "Festival of Finn" being held this weekend will sees hundreds of competitors trying to break a glass bottle with just five stones.
Tourists and locals alike are expected to try their hand at the special challenge which takes place at the back of the Inchy Quinn pub run by Ann and John Campbell.
