A teenage girl remains in a serious condition in hospital this morning, after a sand dune collapsed on her yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened on the back beach of the Maharees, in West Kerry.
Gardai say the girl, who’s 19 and from Cork, was with a group of friends on the beach, when the sand dune collapsed.
