Corbett Murder Trial Hears Graphic Crime Scene Evidence

Paramedics arriving at the scene where Jason Corbett died were greeted by an ‘awful spectacle’.

Testimonies from emergency services, in the opening week in the murder trial of Limerick man Mr Corbett, detailed gory scenes which were backed up in court by graphic photographs.

Evidence for the prosecution focused on the amount of blood at the scene, the 911 call made by the accused Molly Martens Corbett and Thomas Martens, the weapons found at the scene and the injuries sustained by Mr Corbett.

The opening week of the trial was dominated by witnesses and evidence for the prosecution.

Southern Correspondent with the Irish Independent, Ralph Riegel, is covering the trial in North Carolina.

He says the media aren’t being briefed on the precise running order of witnesses, but they’re expecting the first two days of next week to be dominated by forensic and technical evidence.
