Clare’s County Dog Warden is appealing to owners of dangerous dogs to move their postbox to the outside of their property.
It follows a number of cases where post workers have been attacked or intimidated by dogs when delivering mail.
Frankie Coote has pointed to one case under investigation in Miltown Malbay, which resulted in injuries which required the post worker to stay out of work for six weeks.
