Calls have been made for drainage works to be carried out in East Clare to prevent against further flooding.
Bodyke Councillor Joe Cooney claims rivers and drains around the district that have not been cleaned in years are causing severe issues, which he says has been highlighted by recent adverse conditions.
In recent weeks, stormy weather has resulted in water lying on both land and roads – something Councillor Cooney claims is an annual occurance.
