Conway Disappointed At Lack Of Funding For Public Area Enhancement Scheme

Disappointment is being expressed at the Government Decision not to continue a scheme aimed at maintaining public spaces.

Over 20 Clare villages benefitted from the partnership last year which saw local authorities provide funding for community groups to improve the community facilities.

Speaking in the Seanad, Ennistymon Senator Martin Conway said he had hoped that the success of the scheme last year would have justified its return.
