Clare’s Senator is expressing confidence that cuts to the Garda overtime budget won’t impact on frontline policing in this county.
The new Garda Commissioner Drew Harris says the force will significantly exceed its budget for the year, which is not sustainable.
It means overtime will be cut and while it will still be available for specific security operations that is subject to approval.
