It’s claimed the increased number of Clare Oireachtas members will offer a better geographical spread for our national representation.
Ennistymon Councillor Martin Conway was elected to the Seanad last evening, as new Senator Tony Mulcahy arrived home to celebrations in Shannon last evening.

Both Fine Gael representatives had hoped to become members of Dail Eireann in the General Election, and Councillor Conway expressed the view that North and West Clare were not adequately represented by the geographical spread of our new Tds.
Senator Conway hopes he can change that as a both a local and national voice in the oireachtas
