The number of controlled drugs offences recorded in the Clare Garda Division fell by more than a third last year.
Figures released to the Oireachtas show 266 such offences were documented by this county in 2021, compared to 433 in 2020.

Just one of the country’s 27 other Garda divisions, in Sligo/Leitrim, recorded less offences last year.
More than 2,000 separate drugs offences have been recorded in Clare since 2016.
