Construction is due to get underway within weeks on the regeneration of Parnell Street in Ennis, as well as 25 additional lanes and bow-ways.
The project has been part-funded by central government, with Clare County Council covering the balance, and involves the remodeling of the streetscape.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, an information event is taking place online tonight via Zoom, from 6pm, where members of the public can hear from the contractors, design team and the local authority.
A revised programme of works is now being finalised in the wake of the pandemic and Senior Executive Officer for Ennis Municipal District, Leonore O’Neill is optimistic that the project will be hugely beneficial for Parnell Street and Ennis as a whole.
