The planned creation of a 120 new jobs in West Clare has moved a step closer.

Supervalu which is involved in the 4 million euro project in Miltown Malbay along with local businessman John Jones has announced that the construction phase will begin shortly with the store open by late 2012 or early 2013.
Development work, which will generate 70 part time positions, is set to start early May and the remainder of the jobs will come on stream when the shop is operational.
Supervalu currently has outlets in Kilrush Ennistymon, Tulla and Killaloe and today’s announcement is part of a 20 million euro investment nationwide with a further 200 jobs created elsewhere and the upgrade of 30 existing outlets.
