Confidence has been expressed that ongoing demolition works at the former Roche site in Clarecastle will have no major impact on traffic.
Clare County Council has confirmed that particular movements to and from the facility will be along Patrick Street and vehicles will enter and exit on the Junction 11 Dromoland side.
In addition, marshalls are to deployed to assist pedestrians and traffic throughout particularly intense periods of demolition when one additional truck is anticipated every five minutes.
Clarecastle Fianna Fáil Councillor Tom O’Callaghan predicts the outcome of the demolition will be “of huge benefit” to the area when demolition is complete in 2026.
