The Clare Chairman of the IFA says a concerted effort will be made to bring storm damage and coastal repair works to fruition.
It follows the announcement of an additional 1.4 million euro for repair works on the Shannon Estuary and River Fergus embankments which were devastated by storm damage in early 2014.
The Irish Farmers Association submitted two projects to the Department of the OPW following consultation with engineers.
And Clare IFA Chairman, Andrew Dundas is confident the funding allocated to flood affected parts of Clare will allow for adequate and permanent protection to be put in place.
