Concerns have been raised about a shortage of Garda resources for Shannon area after 55 burglaries were reported in 9 months.

It's feared that policing is being compromised because of the numbers of Gardai stationed in the area who are deployed to Shannon Airport.
Cllr Gerry Flynn is calling on the Minister for Justice to deploy additional Garda resources to the area.
He says the issue is of a source of anxiety locally.
