Concerns have been raised about Garda Vetting in Clare as it’s taking 12 to 14 weeks in some cases.

Following recent calls for better childcare standards, member of Clare County Council have expressed fears that the process of clearing people to work with children or vulnerable adults could actually stand it the way of improved services.
In particular they’ve criticised the level of duplication involved with people have to apply for separate garda vetting for working with children, sports teams, and some local FAS schemes.
