Concerns Over Disability Access In Ennis

Concerns have been raised that the pedestrianisation of Ennis town centre has made it difficult for people with disabilities to access parts of the town centre.

Much of the town has been pedestrianised for the last number of weeks to allow for social distancing outside of shops.

But critics of the plan say there aren’t enough appropriately placed parking spaces set aside for people with disabilities, and some listeners have told Clare FM that they’re avoiding the town centre as a result.
