Concerns changes to adoption legislation could lead to delays for people in Clare

Concerns have emerged that a forthcoming change to the law could create extra delays for people seeking adoption information and tracing services in County Clare. 

Currently, the Clarecare Adoption Service is fully accredited to provide these services, but the agency is concerned that the new Bill could change this.

Under the heads of the Bill, only Tusla is listed as a provider of adoption information and tracing. 

Clarecare is now looking for an ammendment to the bill so that it can retain this role.
