Concerns are being raised over the transfer of services in Clare from the county council to Irish Water.

The utility is taking over full responsibility for the billing, payment and customers service for business in the county.
This means businesses here will no longer deal directly with the local authority, but will instead have their water services managed from a central office in Cork.
Maghera Fianna Fail Councillor Pat Hayes is worried that people will no longer be able to contact someone locally with any problems they may have.
