Concern over standards at country’s Wastewater Treatment Plants

 

The Environmental Protection Agency is calling for major improvements at the country’s waste water plants.

In a review of the 529 plants around the country, nearly half didn’t meet all quality standards or the EPA guidelines.

The Department of the Environment says the setting up of the ‘Irish Water’ company will help put consistent standards in place across the country.
