According to a new report from Geo Directory the percentage of business premises that are empty in the county now stands at 12.9 up from 11.4 in the first quarter of 2013.
This means there were 904 unoccupied trade units across the county in the second quarter of this year.
Only Kerry and Carlow recorded a drop in the figures – by 0.1 per cent respectively.
CEO of Ennis Chamber Rita McInerney says it's up to her organisation and the council to find ways to address the issue.
