Concern That National Planning Framework Will Miss Key Areas In Clare

Leading figures in Clare are expressing concern that key areas for development here haven’t been identified in the National Planning Framework.

The new Clare Economic Advisory Group, which is made up of representatives from business, tourism, education and local government, wants balance between the cities and regions.

Promoting Shannon Airport, the development of the Clare campus of the University of Limerick and boosting rural economy are among their top priorities for the rejuvenation strategy which runs nationally until 2040.
