There are concerns that a West Clare village will have to continue its 64-year wait for wastewater infrastructure.
Carrigaholt was first promised a wastewater treatment plant back in 1957.
Funding was provided for a facility in the area back in 2009, with calls now mounting for the village to be included in the local authority’s 2021 Wastewater Investment Scheme.
Fine Gael councillor Gabriel Keating says he wants to see the infrastructure up and running in Carrigaholt as soon as possible.
