Concern Over Future Of Community Bingo Halls

Concern has been raised over the future of community bingo halls in Clare as the time draws near for licence renewal.

A licence for community bingo or lotto halls must be obtained through the court and can cost as much as 500 euro.

But West Clare Fianna Fáil Councillor Cillian Murphy says many community halls have been unable to raise funds for the last number of months and may not be able again for some time.
