The CEO of Ennis Chamber is calling for the establishment of a community-led festival to be prioritised for the county town in 2020.
Margaret O’Brien says Ennis is crying out for an event like this, where members of the public form a committee to run alongside the traditional business or council committees, making sure locals are at the centre of plans.
She believes there is scope for a festival that could take over the town at one of the peak times of year, to create a buzz and an atmosphere of excitement.
