A community organisation has stepped forward with an offer which could see it take over the running of one of five West Clare Early Years Centres which closed this past weekend.
At a meeting in Kildysart last night, representatives from Kildysart Communty Focus, who own the building where childcare services were being provided voiced their intention to take over the running of the business.
Pobal have welcomed the suggestion, but as the company is in liquidation, there are concerns that legalities could lead to a delay in the process.
But Sixmilebridge Independent election candidate Richard Cahill, who attended last night's meeting, hopes that the changeover in management will be allowed.
