The Communities in Bloom competition judging panel have praised Ennis for its embrace of sustainability.
The adjudicators are in their third and final assessment day of the county town, which has been chosen as the Irish representative for the international competition.

Ennis is in the International Challenge Medium category facing competition from Brooks Regional Alberta in Canada and Monfalcone in Italy.
Canadian judge Berta Briggs says she is “very impressed” by the strategic planning of the town.
