Communications Minister Defends Eircode As Problems Reported With Clare Addresses

The Communications Minister is defending the new national postcode system as ‘accurate’ despite a number of addresses in East Clare being listed as Limerick.

Problems are already being reported across the country with the 27 million euro 'Eircode' service, with Clare appearing to be one of the worst affected areas.

A number of addresses in Shannon, Killaloe, Scarriff, Mountshannon and even Whitegate are listed as Limerick addresses.

Every house will be mailed their code in the coming two weeks – or you can check it now on EIRCODE-DOT-IE.
