Commissioner Called On To Provide Counselling Service For Gardaí

Mid ranking gardai have passed a motion calling on the Garda Commissioner to provide a professional counselling service for gardai involved in traumatic incidents.

The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors is holding its annual conference in Carlow, where welfare issues have been dominating today.

There’s also a number of motions discussing the need for a programme to counteract the rise in suicide.
