This week marks the beginning of the end of controversial landfill services at the Inagh Dump.
From Friday the Central Waste Management Facility in North Clare will be closed to commercial customers, with inert rubble and non-hazardous industrial solid waste not accepted beyond the 25th.

Late last year Clare County Council decided to suspend landfill operations at the site due to falling revenues, with a four million euro investment needed for the next phase of the dump.
However North Clare Councillor Joe Arkins has moved to assure domestic customers – or householders – that its businesses as usual at the site for them.
