Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy has confirmed that she WILL now run for Fianna Fáil in the upcoming General Election.
The Ennis-area Councillor, who was first elected to the local authority last year, had previously rejected an offer from the party to be added as its third ticket, citing personal commitments.
Now, following encouragement from local Fianna Fáil members, she has announced a u-turn.
She will run as the party's third candidate, along with Timmy Dooley and Michael McDonagh.
The field is completed by Sinn Féin's Noeleen Moran, Independent Ann Norton, Labour's Michael McNamara and Fine Gael's Pat Breen and Joe Carey, though they're expected to add a third name to their line-up.
